I drive a scooter and motorcyclists wave to me, but I think it might be them thinking I drive a motorcycle as well until they get closer. Should I wave back? And should I just plan to wave to other motorcyclists?

Yes. In my state, even motorized bicycles with an engine over 38cc. Check your DPS/ DMV.
Cops are the fund raising arm of the city, they’ll check if they think there is a chance of writing you a ticket. The smaller the vehicle, the less likely the operator is legal.

It’s a good option to look for a bike, since it indirectly makes you nature conscious… You tend to burn less fuel with bikes than cars… which in-turn help nature… Further, you will reach your destinations within city quickly… since you can nimble around a city very efficiently in a bike…

Further, it’s sometime fun to drive bikes… especially if you are with your opposite sex partner…

Whereas, cars do have their own role…

I reckon a specialist bike transport company is the only way to go. They might be a little more expensive than a regular transport company but they will look after your bike. Normal freight companies would just shove the thing in a corner and if it fell over, too bad.
