Do people who drive scooters have the right to do the motorcycle wave?

I drive a scooter and motorcyclists wave to me, but I think it might be them thinking I drive a motorcycle as well until they get closer. Should I wave back? And should I just plan to wave to other motorcyclists?

Yes. In my state, even motorized bicycles with an engine over 38cc. Check your DPS/ DMV.
Cops are the fund raising arm of the city, they’ll check if they think there is a chance of writing you a ticket. The smaller the vehicle, the less likely the operator is legal.

I’m in 2 minds,whether to buy a bike(motorcycle) when i have a car or not.Reaon i find bikes useful is it is easy to park and saves time and gas,although i prefer to use my car for special occasions and for taking more people.I’m confused because in india,certain people are shifting from motorcycles/scooters to cars,and i shouldn’t be the only one with a bike soon.So i just need to know if i’ll be doing a stupid thing or not by buying a bike.

It’s a good option to look for a bike, since it indirectly makes you nature conscious… You tend to burn less fuel with bikes than cars… which in-turn help nature… Further, you will reach your destinations within city quickly… since you can nimble around a city very efficiently in a bike…

Further, it’s sometime fun to drive bikes… especially if you are with your opposite sex partner…

Whereas, cars do have their own role…

However, thought of ‘Shameful’ should not cross your mind… it clearly shows your narrow mentality… be right in your decision.

I reckon a specialist bike transport company is the only way to go. They might be a little more expensive than a regular transport company but they will look after your bike. Normal freight companies would just shove the thing in a corner and if it fell over, too bad.

It’s in the eye of the beholder. For me it is 1930′s and older. After that I would call them classic bikes. To about 1980, and then it’s just an older used bike.

Not scooters that look like skate boards but scooter scooters. Do they need license plates? I hear that if they go so fast they need one but I’m not sure.

It varys. The first step is to figure out where you live. Then you can go to that states DMV / MVD web page and find out more.

i am looking to get a used honda ruckus scooter with 250cc motor, is that size motor still considered a scooter or motorcycle?
will i have to get a M1 or M2 license? and how much would insurance be?

All gas powered bikes regardless of size require a valid class license.Under 50cc require a drivers license or in some places require only a learners permit.Above 50cc requires a motorcycle endorsement.
