May 7, on a 4 lane highway, while riding in the right lane, a driver in the left lane fell asleep, drifted into the median, woke up, and over corrected, slamming into me at 68-70mph. Both me and the bike went flipping into the air, and I landed in the ditch, with 4 broken toes, road rash covering my entire stomach, a chunk of my right knee missing, and my left heel had the skin pulled off, along with various other scrapes and bruises. The bike is totaled, after 2 months of riding, and the guys insurance barely paid it off. It will be several months before I can walk or ride again, and I will have to wear a custom shoe, but rest ured I will be back on a bike! Ride safe everyone, and keep an eye on all the drivers out there.

there are a lot of stupid drivers out there. almost all of them are careless. a guy i know lost both of his legs because of stupid girl. he was waiting at a stop light. some idiot girl on her cell who was on the lane next to him, tried to get on the same lane. but she wasnt paying attention and turned the wheel right on him. when she realized what she was doing, she accelerated some more and both his legs got crushed. he is on a wheel chair now. she tried suing him because of phyc trauma…

Thanks for all the support guys! I am walking on it again with a custom boot, but it is painful, and I limp. Lets hope that gets better soon, but meanwhile, I picked up a 02 WS6 Trans Am, to get me back and forth to Orlando starting Febuary. (I’m moving to go take a Motorcycle Mechanics class. Harleys of course!) But I plan on buying a decent used bike, I probably won’t buy a new one again right away. Although that 2010 CVO Street Glide is tempting!

At least you survived. I got crashed into about 5 years ago, broke my right leg, and had to have neck surgery as well. I know your pain. The black softtail in my vid is the one I crashed,but rebuilt ..Later Brother. Hope ya get to feeling better, I still hurt 5 years later..
