I know the new …
I know the new bikes are tuned to run lean, and so the exhaust runs hotter and that’s what causes the discoloration.
But the new fuel injected Bonnies do the same thing.
The Jap bikes had double wall headers, and the new Thunderbird does too.
It’s probably not important, but I just think it makes the bike look ill when the head pipes are all different hues.

Actually, YOU are wrong. He was correct. The T100 was aptly named because it was the first production motorcycle to acheive 100 mph, the “true ton.” I think the modern classics line will do a bit better than 100, though, closer to 108 or so.
