dfonic2007, you’re right. I googled Franco. I had no idea. I read an article once that talked about Billy and Amen choppers fighting over who invented the hubless. Neither of them did. It was Franco. I stand corrected.

First of all Billy Lane DID NOT invent the hubless wheel. The Hubless wheel was invented by Franco Sbarro in the 80′s.

That’s not Billy Lane’s bike. That bike was built by Amen Choppers. Billy Lane invented the hubless. Amen Choppers came up with a different design of the hubless. Billy’s is more hard core. Amen’s is more high tech.

It look smind boggling but if you look it up on wikipedia the rear wheel acts as a huge hollow axle, although you cant see it there would be something like a small thin rim inbentween the tyre and axle.
