Do you need to have your car/motorcycle registered to race on a drag strip?

I have a salvaged motorcycle i got from a friend dirt cheap, do I need to have it registered to race on a track?

If you mean registering at the DMV, will depend on if you are planning to drive it to the track or on public roads.
If it’s on a trailer an only driven on a track than probably the only registration you need is the safety check from the racing organisation.

no not on a track as long as you trailer it there if you drive it there then yes
